Cupid Ice Cream Floats

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and we have the perfect drink to celebrate with! These cupid ice cream floats are an easy, fun drink to make to share with those you love.

My boys love ice cream floats. Doesn’t get any better than being able to combine two of their favorite treats – ice cream and soda!! I thought for Valentine’s Day it would be fun to make pink ice cream floats. This was inspired by this raspberry punch that my kids love and we have at a lot of our parties.

I also couldn’t decide if we should use raspberry sherbet or vanilla ice cream. Both seemed like such good choices. So I went with both, of course! As you can see, the sherbet will definitely give you more of a pink drink. So use that if you’re really wanting to emphasize the pink color. Both options are equally delicious!

Cupid Ice Cream Floats

Raspberry ginger ale and raspberry sherbet (or vanilla ice cream) make this a fun pink drink for Valentine's Day.

Course: dessert, drinks
Ingredients
  • raspberry ginger ale
  • raspberry sherbet or vanilla ice cream
  • whipped cream
  • sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Fill a tall glass about a 1/4 full of raspberry ginger ale.

  2. Add 2-3 scoops of raspberry sherbet or vanilla ice cream.

  3. Fill glass the rest of the way with raspberry ginger ale. (It will be quite foamy).

  4. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Recipe Notes

Adding a little bit of the ginger ale before the sherbet/ice cream, will help it not be as foamy.
