I was thrilled that your DIY painted acorn string was easily located and gave complete instructions. I subscribe to Earth 911 and usually just have time to read it. The Nov 8 email had your acorns pictured. I clicked and it took me to their page about 12 new DIY fall foliage crafts. You were #3. I started with the first one and by the second one I was getting p.o.’d. I spent 30 minutes before I gave up looking. Some folks don’t want to share if you don’t tell them your life story first. I love your site. I love your autobiographies. I’ll be back.ReplyCancel

I love your site and you all are so talented! I was wondering if you’d like to join us in the third season of Refashion Runway that I host over on my site, The Renegade Seamstress. You can see what it’s all about here: https://chicenvelopements.wordpress.com/2015/07/06/yay-its-back-open-casting-call-for-refashion-runway-season-three/

I stumbed upon your site while looking up DIY swinging beds, I definitely think it was of the Lord. It’s so rare to find positive people/sites online that are crafty yet not pushing something. I’m non-denominational, I believe in sharing the love of Christ and you ladies do it in a way that isn’t pushy, but rather a hey this is who we are. I really admire that. Keep up the excellent work!!ReplyCancel

    Hi Manda,
I’m in the process of trying to build your awesome DIY Plywood Daybed. I had a question regarding the frame portion of the bed that would help clarify a step of the process for me. You stated to cut 2 long front and back prices to build the frame. Are you supposed to have two short pieces as well, so that the frame is a full rectangle? Or should it look more like a ladder with the two long pieces and the cross pieces in between with no end pieces? I’m not sure if this question makes sense. Let me know. Thank you so much for this creative and fun idea for a twin bed!ReplyCancel

    • MandaFriday, November 24, 2017 - 9:42 pm

Hi Anna, the frame is a full rectangle – we cut 8 crosspieces and two of those were the ends of the frame. Hopefully that helps! 🙂ReplyCancel
