I’ve been trying to bring some festive pieces into my apartment to get ready for Christmas. I’ve been using a lot of things I already have around my apartment or in my stash of craft supplies along with some clippings I’ve gathered on an afternoon walk with Malacai.
The little guy above is probably one of my favorites! I had an extra version of the Fiber Wall Art project that I made that was hanging on my wall and I was going to take it down and replace it with something more festive and then I decided just to glue some evergreen to it!
What you need:
-Metal Ring
-String/Yarn
-Evergreen
-Hot Glue Gun
How to make it:
Follow the steps here to attach the string and then simply glue pieces of evergreen around the hoop. So quick and so dang cute!
I added some wooden bead garlands around the house because I had tons of extra beads from past projects. They’re so simple but I love what they add draped around with other decor.
What you need:
-String
-Wooden Beads
How to make it:
Tie a loop in one end of the string (for hanging later on) then tie a knot 5-10″ past the loop. Slide 5 beads on and then tie a knot at the end of the beads – to keep them in a tight cluster. Then move another 5″ down the string and repeat. Continue with this until you have the length of garland that you want. Tie a loop in the end to finish. Here is my plywood christmas tree with some of the wooden bead garland, another evergreen hoop, and some of the sweet clay ornaments I made last year! I just scattered some extra greenery around the apartment to bring some color to the place since I don’t have a fresh tree.
How is your holiday decorating going??
