A Day with Natalie’s

We can’t believe that September is almost over! Honestly at this point, I thought I’d feel like I had it a little more together – more of a routine and balance to my day, but I still feel like I’m trying to figure out what to do when and keep everything going! But I definitely do feel the difference, and relief, of having a bit more time to do work during the day, and then concentrate on the boys when they get home. Caitlin’s recently changed her work hours a bit and we’re trying to work on getting together regularly now for blog “work hours” instead of being so hit & miss with our schedules. But the struggle is real friends – we’re not sure we’ll ever really feel like we have it together, there’s so many different things we’re juggling! Oh well, we’ll just keep plugging along, finding the fun & silliness in all the chaos and maybe one day we’ll have some great tips on how to organize your time & life – but don’t hold your breath for that post coming any time soon! 😉

Today we’re partnering with Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice to give you a little peek into what our day looks like when we do manage to get together for a blog work day. Natalie’s sent us some of their juice to try and we enjoyed trying all the different flavors throughout our day!
We typically start off going through emails and making a plan of what we need to get done that day – Caitlin lives right by the local bakery and always bring us some treats from Greg’ry’s to share for breakfast – yup, she’s the best! We’re not sure how emails can pile up so quickly but we’re slowly getting better at answering them in a timely manner. Then we usually try to get some crafting done in the early morning so that we can shoot final projects when the light is good in the afternoon.

Because our work days have been a little hectic and random, it’s a nice break (and reward!) to have lunch out; plus we’re always looking for an excuse to run to Jitter’s and pick up a couple of their Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwiches because we’re slightly obsessed with them! It’s also good to get out of the house to get inspired and brainstorm some new ideas and themes for the upcoming months – and we have got to enjoy this warm weather while it lasts!

The afternoon can feel a little rushed & busy because we’re trying to finish up as much as we can before the boys get home from school. Thankfully they’re usually more than happy to participate in our projects – especially days like this when we ask them to help taste-test some juice! The boys favorite flavors were the Lemonade & Strawberry Lemonade. (And as a mom, I love that their juice has no preservatives, hidden ingredients or flavor packs – drink away boys!)

We’ve been drinking so much of this juice lately and using it in some mocktail making! We love the freshness and real fruit taste of their juice, our favorites are Honey Tangerine, Orange and Orange Pineapple. The grapefruit has been a favorite for mocktail mixing as well. If you’re local, we’ve snagged some Natalie’s at Hart’s Local Grocers and The Village Bakery, (two of our favorite spots!) if not – find out where to find some here.

Here’s to more of these productive (and fun) work days happening more regularly now!
