One of my favorite food groups is dip. Yes, dip is a food group on my food chart. So any chance I can get to make food involving dip, I’ll take it. And this whipped cottage cheese chili crisp dip is delicious! And the best part, a protein filled snack!
I saw some versions of this floating around the internet and because I’ve been working hard to get more protein in, and I love dip, I knew I had to try it. I only recently started eating cottage cheese. I never liked it before Caitlin introduced me to a brand that I actually thought tasted good and didn’t mind the texture of! (Friendship California Style Cottage Cheese).
I also love whipped feta, it’s so incredible, and so much better than just regular feta. So I definitely couldn’t resist trying whipped cottage cheese. I love how smooth and creamy it can get. And then topping it with some chili crisp (or chili crunch) gives it a nice little kick.
And you don’t even have to feel guilty indulging in this dip. It’s a protein filled snack that goes perfect with cut up vegetables. (Crackers, bagel chips, & veggie chips are all delicious with it too, of course!). It’s also incredibly easy to make this whipped cottage cheese chili crisp dip. With just a few ingredients, and a couple minutes, you’re ready to dig in!

Creamy whipped cottage cheese topped with chili crisp is a delicious dip. Full of protein and perfect to serve with veggies and crackers.
- 1-1/2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for drizzling if desired
- fresh ground salt & pepper, to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons chili crisp
- cut up vegetables and crackers for serving
-
In a food processor, blend cottage cheese, olive oil and salt & pepper until smooth and creamy, about two minutes, scraping down the bowl as needed during the blending.
-
Taste to see if more salt & pepper are needed.
-
Spread whipped cottage cheese onto serving platter or bowl.
-
Top with chili crisp. (You can swirl the chili crisp into the cottage cheese, or just leave it on top). You can also drizzle more olive oil over cottage cheese if desired.
-
Serve immediately with cut up vegetables, crackers, pretzels, or pita chips.
-
Refrigerate leftover dip.
If you’re making this ahead, you can whip the cottage cheese and then refrigerate in an airtight container. Garnish whipped cottage cheese with chili crisp right before serving.
