I’ve seen the viral ghost art trend many times over the last few years. It’s such a cute and easy project! So when I was planning for a Halloween party for next week, one of them came up and I thought it would be amazing to take that idea but make a Ghost Cheese Board using goat cheese!
I tried mine out by bringing a few packages of goat cheese to room temperature and whipping them in the Kitchen Aid for a bit and it worked for me. BUT I think using an actual whipped goat cheese recipe might make these little ghosts look even better! It’s a pretty simple cheese board overall but adding the little sesame seed eyes in with the kitchen tweezers can be a little frustrating if you don’t like tiny little exact movements haha! Totally worth it though!

- 12 oz goat cheese (room temperature)
- 3 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1.5 tbsp olive oil
- roasted black sesame seeds
- black mission figs
- blackberries
- concord grapes
- crackers
-
Use a mixer or food processor to whip the goat cheese, cream cheese and olive oil until light and airy, about 2 minutes.
-
Use icing spatula to smudge whipped goat cheese onto cutting board into arched shapes. Start from the top of the board and work your way down, overlapping ghosts on the way down.
-
Use food tweezers to place black sesame seeds as the ghosts' eyes.
-
Spread dark fruits and crackers around the board.
