After a few months without sharing much on here – I’m back for some of my favorite posts of the year! It’s Halloween costume time! I’m starting the year off with an easy outfit from one of this year’s most popular movies. I actually am not a big movie person myself – I’m typically the one that people say movie references to and I NEVER know what they’re talking about. BUT Cruella is one of the only movies I’ve seen in the theater in years. And I LOVED IT! I honestly really missed Cruella’s classic cigarette holder – ha! – but it was still so good! It also definitely made me miss my old vintage shop.
So I ordered a few basic parts of the costume online and then got the rest out thrifting just so I could throw it together really quickly. I put together a big list with clothing options if you aren’t in the mood to do thrifting so keep scrolling if you’re looking for that! Plus I shared how I put together my last minute cane!
I started off with:
- a basic Cruella wig (I really liked the one I ordered – but they have a few different styles that she wears throughout the movie.)
- wig cap
- a leftover dowel wrapped in electrical tape for the cane
Then I added in some thrifted people that gave me some menswear/steampunk/gothic vibes that I got from the movie. But – here are a bunch of options of sweet pieces that could work for your Cruella costume:
