Sharing a little bit of my summer style today. Caitlin did a shoot of me yesterday in one of my favorite dresses. (Did you know she was a photographer too? I know…that girl! So creative and crafty, she’s got killer style and she’s an amazing photographer…I mean!! I always try to get her to take photos for me…my posts are so much better when she does! 🙂 )
I’ve been lucky enough to thrift two of these mexican style dresses over the last year. I just love the embroidery on these dresses. And pretty much all summer long I like to wear dresses – they’re about the coolest thing to wear during the hot summer months. (Me + heat = no good). Although we’ve been so blessed with some amazing weather the past week and a half around here. It’s perfect – in the 70’s and no humidity. I’ve been loving it! (Please last forever!)
I would say I have two favorite era’s that I love dressing from. I love the 50-60’s feminine dresses and classy looks (think Audrey Hepburn) and I love the 60-70’s hippie/flower child looks (flowy dresses and bell bottoms). I know, couldn’t be more different. But wearing clothes from those eras just makes my heart happy. My hair fits in a little better with the hippie look though. 😉
Thanks so much for taking my photos Caitlin! And be a pal, would ya, and go give a little “like” on her photography page.
Hope you’re enjoying the last day of July! (Summer is slipping by so quickly!) Manda
