Have you put up Christmas decorations yet? So far, this pinecone wreath is all I have up! I’m anxious to add more, but also sad to be taking down the fall decor I had up. I feel like I’ve been really into making wreaths lately. Last year I made a few, including this Dried Orange Wreath that I loved (and saved to use again this year!).
I spotted this wreath at Pottery Barn and thought it was so pretty. And then when I was at the thrift store, I found a giant bag of pinecones and knew it was my sign that I needed to make my own! I also thrifted the wreath frame, so this was a very cheap craft for me to make.
It’s actually very easy to make, just like the orange wreath was. You only need pinecones, a wreath form and hot glue. I decided it needed a little something else, so I added the velvet ribbon bow. I’m so happy with how it turned out and think it adds the perfect natural touch to my Christmas decor.
Supplies:
- pinecones – these or these would probably work (try to get smaller size ones, unless you’re using a very large wreath form)
- wreath form – I think grapevine works best
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- velvet ribbon, optional
