I love natural, slightly wild looking decor, and this corn husk wreath is exactly that! It’s also pretty easy to make. And if you’re able to get free cornstalks, like I was, it only costs a few dollars to make.
I know a lot of people are ready to put away fall decor and bring on all things Christmas after today. But I keep most of my fall decor up through Thanksgiving. So I’m still over here, making fall crafts!
Last year, I cut branches and vines to create my fall mantel. It had a slightly untamed look, and I loved it. I think this wreath has a similar vibe going on.
For cost, I only had to pay for my wreath frame, which was thrifted (you can always find old wreaths at thrift stores and pull the fake flowers off them – I did this last year to make eucalyptus wreaths). I had the floral wire and floral tape that I used on hand already from past projects. So this turned out to be a pretty cheap wreath to make!
Supplies for corn husk wreath:
- wreath frame (I used a grapevine one, found at the thrift store)
- corn husks or dried corn leaves and tassels
- floral wire
- floral tape
