DIY Nesting Doll Costume

I can remember sitting at my grandparents house as a kid with their nesting doll spending so much time taking it apart and putting it back together over and over and over. I got one for myself when I was older and my little brothers would do the same thing – and they’d get super excited EVERY time they would find the tiny baby inside. Ha! I thought this would be a perfect last minute costume that you might be able to throw together with things you already have – maybe borrowing a vintage apron from grandma or grabbing one from a local thrift store! Or even a good pregnancy announcement costume… which is NOT the case here. Ha!If you don’t want to search around for stuff, I’ve included links & tips below for how to put this look together!

What you need:
Plain dress
Scarf
-Apron:
**I found mine by searching for vintage embroidered aprons on Etsy. Here are a few others that I found: One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.
**If you want a bit more of a hands on project, you would put together a circular felt apron and stitch on some felt flowers. Or try buying a blank apron and buy some floral iron-ons to create the look you want.
