World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on 3/21 to symbolize a third copy of the 21st chromosome in those with Down Syndrome. On October 21, 2010 I was scared and didn’t know what life would be like with a little girl who had Down Syndrome. I have learned so much these past couple years and am happy to share with you a glimpse of what life looks like with a little girl who happens to have Down Syndrome…
She is beautiful and smart..
She loves music and dancing..
She really likes to play with baby dolls..
She is independent & loves to do things all by herself..
She has a lovie, we call him JimJim..
She loves to play dress up & wear boots or a hat or a snowsuit around the house..
She is fiercely determined and worked extra hard to master walking..
She is adorable and silly and brings so much laughter to our home..

She exudes pure joy, this little girl. My hope, my prayer, is that she grows up in a world of love and acceptance. Knowing she was created by a loving God and has so much to offer.
