I’ve never been that into decorating for Halloween. I usually do a little bit of fall decorating, using things that can last through Thanksgiving. (Although I am always tempted to throw a Halloween party and do a little more decorating – maybe one of these years…). But as the boys have gotten older, they are more excited about Halloween and like to see Halloween decorations around the house. I thought it would be cute to get some of their toys in on the Halloween fun, so I made little masks – and a ghost costume – for them.
We’ve used these little animals for party decor before at Malacai’s circus birthday party, inspired by the Party Animals on Oh Happy Day last year, and I think it’s terribly cute to make these little guys festive. I love the little bit of Halloween fun these animals bring to the house, and it was a quick and easy way to decorate. I cut my masks out of black paper and taped them on. The zebra ghost is made from scrap white fabric that I cut holes in. (The BOO banner is also just made from paper).
What’s your Halloween decorating style? Do you have lots of spooky decor or do you like to keep more of a traditional fall look?
Happy weekend! Manda
