I’ve had these cheesecloth ghosts on my to-make list for a while now. And after finally getting around to making them, I can’t believe I waited so long to do it. They’re so cute – I’m into cute ghosts as Halloween decorations. Usually I just stick with pumpkins in the fall. But the last couple of years, cute little ghosts have been winning me over.
I love that these cheesecloth ghosts have almost a vintage look to them. I think using the right kind of cheesecloth is key, you don’t want a bright white, and it needs to have a fine mesh (I linked the one I used down below in the supply list).
The other thing I love about these cheesecloth ghosts – they are incredibly easy to make. They do require dry time, overnight. So you need to plan for that. But actually doing the project is really simple. And you just need a few supplies. Gotta love these easy Halloween crafts!
Supplies for Cheesecloth Ghosts:
- cheesecloth
- glue or Mod Podge (I used Mod Podge)
- water
- jars or vase (or empty paper towel roll)
- round objects, like foam craft balls, balloons or balls
- plastic wrap
