Moss is one of my favorite things in nature – along with mountains, waterfalls, fog and lily of the valleys. I used to love finding huge patches of it to lay on as a kid or grabbing little pieces of it to bring home as a bed for my Polly Pocket dolls (yeah, 1990’s!) I decided to try and use some to decorate eggs this Easter and I’m loving it! These DIY moss eggs are so simple and easily customizable to whatever pattern you’d like to add. I think they would look perfect on a natural tablescape for Easter dinner!
They’re so whimsical and silly! I love to be able to incorporate a little more natural elements into all of my decor but Easter feels especially good to add some greens or florals! I used hard-boiled eggs for mine because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. But next time I think I will use some fake white eggs so I can reuse them every year!
Materials Needed for DIY Moss Eggs:
-Hard Boiled Eggs (Or fake eggs)
-Glue
-Paint Brush
-Moss
How to make them:
Use paint brush to paint the desired design on the egg with glue. Rip off small pieces of moss and press into glue until design is filled. Let dry.
