DIY Linen Photo Mats

I’ve had this pile of vintage frames hanging around for the last year or so with a bunch of prints I’ve wanted to frame and it’s finally getting done! I don’t know why but every time I see frames at garage sales or thrift stores for so cheap, I just have to grab them all. Ha! I had a few ideas of how to make some mats for the frames and one of them was making these DIY linen photo mats. Hopefully I’ll have another kind that I’m working on to share next month too if it works out! I love the natural texture and delicateness that the fabric adds rather than a plain white mat or colored ones that never seem to match the prints I have.

They’re super simple to put together either with an old mat that you have or to whip up a few of your own mats with some scrap cardboard. I’m sure I’ll be making a few more of them while I put together a few bunches of the prints that I want to hang around the house!
