Only 5 days left until Mother’s Day! And it’s not too late to make one of these fun, giant cards for mom or grandma. It’s an easy project for the kids to help out with and costs about $5! Order your print today and you can whip one of these up in time for Mother’s Day!
What you need:
–Engineer Print Photo (They cost $3 from Staples)
-Poster Board (3 black pieces, 1 white piece)
-Scissors
-Glue/Rubber Cement
-Hole Punch
-Yarn
-Paint
How to make it:
-Paste your print onto the white poster board. (Be sure not to use too much glue.) Trim off any of the print that overlaps the poster board. Then cut about 1″ off from the sides and 1″ from the bottom.
-Take one piece of poster board and fold 2″ down along one of the long sides. Glue this small flap to the top of another piece of poster board.
-Cut a triangle out of the top of the remaining piece of poster board and lay it on top of the one you glued the flap to. Glue the bottom together and let dry.
-Use the hole punch to punch 18 holes up the sides and thread your yarn through it. Tying it on the backside at the beginning and end.
-Fold the flap down and cut a triangle… so it looks like an envelope. 😉
-Paint a message on the front of the envelope, slide the photo inside, and send it on to mom or grandma!
The print makes a nice wall display afterwards…
