
Apples covered in brown sugar with a buttery cinnamon sugar crumble topping!
In a medium bowl, combine 4 cups apples*,2 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup brown sugar.
In a medium bowl (I use the bowl that I mixed the apples in, don’t even bother to clean it!), stir together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon & 1/4 teaspoon salt.
With a pastry blender, cut in 1/3 cup unsalted butter, until mixture is crumbly.
* I like to use a variety of apples, but always include some Granny Smith in that variety!
Recipe can be doubled and made in a 9x13 pan.
