How to Make a DIY Toilet Paper Roll Bunny

I couldn’t resist making a toilet paper roll bunny for Easter this year. I think they’re so cute and this gives you something to do with your empty toilet paper rolls besides tossing them in the garbage!

There’s just something so sweet and fun about making kids crafts. Even without little kids around (how are my babies all teenagers and bigger than me?!), I think I’m always going to love doing these! It’s even better when they’re super easy and use up things that were going to be thrown out. And my boys were still more than happy to eat the candy from this project. 😉

Supplies for Toilet Paper Roll Bunny:

Watch the video (or see the steps below) to see how easy it is to make this bunny craft:

Directions:

  • Cut out ears. I used brown kraft paper for this. You could also cut down one of the paper rolls and use that. Since I was going to be making a few of these, I made a template to trace. Draw your ears and then cut them out.
  • Paint arch shape on the toilet paper roll. You’ll want to go about half way or a tiny bit more for the height on this.
  • Paint the center part of the ears.
  • Once the paint is dry, draw a face on the bunny.
  • Place glue on the end of the ears, and glue those to the inside top of the paper roll. If you want, you can slightly curl one or both of the ears.
  • To make the bunny into a mini Easter basket: fold in the bottom edges a little, just so that the easter grass and candy won’t slip through. Make sure it stands level after you’re done folding it.
  • Fill with easter grass and candy.
