Fabienne had a little broom and dust pan set on her birthday wish list but I decided to try to whip one up for her so it would be a little more personal and save some money! I watched her a couple weeks ago and we went around the house sweeping and she was loving it!
What you need:
-Small broom with a handle that can be unscrewed
-Wooden handle with threaded tip (Try the broom or paint section at Lowe’s)
-Small dust pan
-Saw
-Belt sander
-Paint and paint brushes
How to make it:
-Use the saw to cut the wooden handle down to a size that will work for a kid.
-Use the belt sander to round that end.
-Use tape and paint to paint around the handle – be sure to let each coat dry before starting the next.
-Screw the handle into the broom head.
-Paint some designs on your dust pan.
