I’ve seen a bunch of ceramic fruit bowls on the market and I think they’re just adorable. So I decided I had to try my hand at making some with oven bake clay. They’re so pretty and funky and I’m loving how they look in the kitchen! I might just have a little clay fruit bowl collection starting around here.
It’s been a while since I’ve done clay crafts and I forget how relaxing and fun it is. I would love to get back into the ceramic studio I used to take classes at and make a bunch of these with some pretty speckled clay but until then – or when I get the kiln in my basement up and running – I’ll have to stick with these cuties!
And if you don’t want to make your own, here’s a bunch of options you can buy: one. two. three. four. five. six.
*Do not use for food unless you have a food safe finish. Looks great with fake fruits or just as decor as well! As always, do research on the materials you use and don’t use these for foods that will be consumed if it is not safe.*

- food safe finish (I found these ones: epoxy resin, klarlack, and liquid quartz – but do your own research before using on surfaces that will come in contact with foods)
