DIY Popcorn Garland

Growing up, we always decorated our Christmas tree with popcorn garland. My mom made the garland when we were quite young, and then saved it to reuse from year to year. I can remember pulling it out of the tin every year to decorate the tree with. So this garland feels quite nostalgic to me!

A popcorn garland is a classic way to decorate for Christmas. And it’s so simple, and cheap, to make! You just need plain popcorn, needle and thread. And it’s the perfect craft to do while watching your favorite Christmas movie. This garland works for decorating your tree or to add to a greenery garland. It would be lovely paired with the cranberry garland!

Supplies for Popcorn Garland:

  • plain popcorn (no butter, no salt)
  • air popcorn popper (not necessary, but makes it easier!)
  • thread & needle
