These mini pumpkin candles are the perfect cozy fall decor. I know a lot are getting ready to start decking the halls for Christmas at this point in the season, but I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year and will be holding on to fall and pumpkins until then! (With maybe a little greenery snuck in here & there). I think these mini pumpkin candles would be so cute added to a Thanksgiving table!
I’ve made candles a few times in the past, and always enjoy doing it. These pumpkin candles are fairly easy to make. Probably the longest part was hallowing out the pumpkins. Then it’s just melting wax, and pouring it in the pumpkins, along with adding a wick!
I used beeswax for this, and really like that over other wax. It’s natural and has a nice smell. I used both white & yellow beeswax (linked below), but did prefer the look of the yellow. I also used both cotton and wood candle wicks. Both work well, I do love the crackling from a wood wick though! Just keep in mind when making these, that they won’t last forever since it’s real pumpkins. The pumpkins will start to decay. So if you’re going to use them for Thanksgiving decor, plan for that. Sticking them in the fridge can help them last a little longer.
