Last year was the first year I really got into making any Valentine’s day decor. I made a salt dough heart garland and loved it. And I guess decided to go all in this year, as I’ve been crafting away on some simple Valentine’s Day decor!
First up is this baby’s breath heart wreath! I’ve actually been wanting to make a baby’s breath wreath for quite a while. I love making wreaths and whenever I see a baby’s breath one, I always think I need to try making one. They are really simple to make. And look so good! They do dry out, and shrink some as they dry, so you need to plan for that. (I added more baby’s breath once it had dried, just to fill in some of the gaps). But they still look great as a dried wreath, so it can last for quite a while.
For this heart wreath, I made my own wreath form. I wanted it to be fairly large and couldn’t find any large enough at the store. It would definitely be easier to just buy a wreath form, and I’ve linked some that you could buy and save yourself one step from this craft. But if you want to customize the size, making your own from cardboard is a pretty easy way to do it!
