DIY Wooden Triangle Hair Pins

DIY Wooden Triangle Hair Pins - The Merrythought
Here’s a quick and easy way to spruce up some of your plain old hair pins. I wear bobby pins in my hair pretty much every day. Gotta do something to try and keep these crazy curls tamed down (not that there seems to be much that helps with that – ha!). I’ve been getting bored with my plain old hair pins, so I thought I would add a little something to dress them up a little.

What you need:

  • bobby pins
  • 1/16-inch sheet of birch plywood – (I got mine at Michaels – use those coupons!)
  • paint & paint brush
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • superglue

How to do it:

  • Decide how big you want your shapes to be and trace them out on the birch plywood, using your ruler as a guide or just free handing it.
  • Cut out shapes.
  • Paint shapes desired colors.
  • Glue shapes together. Then glue shapes to bobby pins.
