DIY Laundry Bag

DIY Laundry Bag @themerrythoughtWhen I moved into my apartment, I didn’t realize what a pain in the butt not having a washer and dryer would be. Money and time spent at laundromats seems like a nightmare, especially since the closest one is 15 minutes away. Thankfully my dad and my cousins both live about 5 minutes from my house – so I’m the girl always coming over to do laundry and obviously staying for dinner since I’m already there… 😉 But even with them nearby, hauling a couple hampers full of laundry is pretty annoying. I found this bag and thought it would be perfect to turn into a cute little laundry bag that I could easily carry up and down the stairs at my apartment. It would also be perfect for my NYC friends that have to use the laundromat and haul their stuff for blocks.
DIY Laundry Bag @themerrythoughtWhat you need:
Bag
-Pencil
-Fabric Paint
-Paint Brush

How to make it: Sketch out your design – I used the symbol for wash. And then use your paint brush to paint the fabric paint over top of the sketch. Let dry.
Or you can download a version of my sketch and copy that. Or for a super simple option, download our image, flip it so it’s backwards, print it on iron on paper and then just iron it to your bag!
