First Day of Nursery School

My baby girl started nursery school. And this mamma’s heart is proud. When Fabienne was born I wasn’t sure what her future would look like. What I know now is that she’s much like any other [almost] three year old. She loves to read books, play outside and dance while daddy plays guitar. She has adorable dimples when she smiles and fights over toys with her little brother. Don’t get me wrong, she has to work a lot harder than most peers to accomplish everyday tasks like talking and running. We have four therapists in our house every week. But this little girl is fiercely determined and continues to surprise us with her capabilities. This tiny girl has already changed my perspective on so many things. I believe she will change the lives of many people in her path. I also fear she will face discrimination because she is different. I wrote about it in this post awhile back. If you have not yet read The Talk by Momastery, please take a moment. It’s not too late to have The Talk with your little ones who are just starting out a new school year. Like I said before.. my hope.. my dream.. my prayer is that Fabienne will find compassionate little friends in school. Who love her just the way she is.
