“He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”

I’m just a couple weeks shy of celebrating 10 years of marriage with my Michael. I really can’t believe that. 10 years! It really doesn’t seem possible that it’s been that long. (And it makes me feel old!) I’m so incredibly in love with this man. And I’m so incredibly blessed to share each day with him. He’s so good to me and makes me want to be a better person. His heart for Jesus, his love as a father, his humor, his kindness, his laid-backness, his good looks…yes, I truly am a blessed girl.

Last week we went out for a date night. This actually was a pretty perfect date for the two of us. I got to have fun making pretty food and he got to go canoeing. Plus it was cheap. And there were no people around! (Fact: Mike & I are slightly anti-social 😕 )  And we got to drink sparkling grape juice out of mason jars…what could be better, right?! Maybe a few less mosquitos would have been nice. We actually ended up saving our whoopie pies and went to get coffee and had our dessert in the car by the creek, bug free.

Have any favorite date night ideas? Picnics are one of my favorites – I definitely recommend this for a date night.

Enjoy today!    Manda

(And if you were wondering why our canoe has a number…it’s left over from when Mike & Justin did a 90 mile canoe race a few years ago in the Adirondacks. Go Team Sawyer!)
