Triangle Carpet Necklace.

I have been wearing and getting excited about accessories more than normal lately. I thrifted some bracelets and rings that I am simply in love with and they never leave my side now. And since I’ve been loving on jewelry so much lately, I have a few posts in the works of some fun DIY jewelry. Here is the first!

What you need:
-A sample carpet square (I got mine at Lowe’s)
-Necklace chain
-2 large jump rings
-Needle nose pliers
-Scissors
-Pencil

What to do:
-Draw triangle on the back of the carpet square and cut out.
-Use cutter part of pliers to cut the necklace in the middle. (Opposite side of clasp.)
-Put jump rings through the carpet square on two corners of the triangle. You will want to put it through one of the tiny squares on the back that wasn’t cut through when you cut out the triangle. It will slip out if you put it right on one of the partially cut ones along the side.
-Attach the open necklace chain to each of the jump rings and use the pliers to tighten the jump rings.
-Done! I couldn’t decide if I liked the necklace better long or short so I tried both! Which do you like better?
**If the back of your carpet square is scratchy, you could try a quick coat of Mod Podge over the back.
