Mini Wreath Garland

Mini Wreath Garland - @themerrythought
I know, it seems a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but honestly, it will be here before we know it. I can’t believe it’s already even November! We love this month and definitely don’t want to overshadow Thanksgiving, but we know a lot of you out there like to get an early start on some Christmas planning, so we thought we’d share a Christmas craft/DIY or recipe one day a week this month.
While browsing on Pinterest one day, I spotted these very cute Rosemary Wreath Place Cards from Spoon Fork Bacon.  I was smitten, and being a lover of tiny things, thought making something similar into a mini wreath garland would be a nice addition to our Christmas decor.  I love how the garland looks and it was so easy to do.  (And cheap – I didn’t spend a penny on this, I used all supplies I had, and a bush from my yard!).

What you need:

  • pine branches (or something similar – mine were from a pine-ish looking bush in our yard)
  • floral wire
  • jute twine / string
  • scissors

How to do it:

  • Decide how big you want your wreaths to be (form a circle with your branch and figure out what you like), cut branches to that length.
  • Form the branch into a circle, and secure the ends together by wrapping with floral wire.
  • Wrap some twine around the floral wire and tie into a bow.
  • Repeat with remaining branches.
  • Slide the wreaths onto a long strand of twine or string.
  • Hang.
