DIY Painted Bone Necklace

DIY Painted Bone Necklace | The Merrythought Probably a lot of you are going to be seriously disgusted with this project. It’s wonderfully bizarre and creepy looking – perfect Halloween (and hunting! (; ) season jewelry if you ask me! I have a little collection of funky bones that I’ve collected while wandering out in the woods over the years. So I’m giving them a fun new use!DIY Painted Bone Necklace | The MerrythoughtDIY Painted Bone Necklace | The Merrythought What you need:
-Old bones (Here is an article about cleaning animal bones.)
-Floral wire
-Chain and clasp or leather lace
-Jump rings
-Pliers
-Paint and paint brushes

How to make it:
-Wrap the bone tightly with floral wire at the part you want at the top of your necklace. Make a little loop on the backside and continue to wrap the wire a couple times to secure loop.
-Put a jump ring through the loop you made with wire and slip it onto the chain.
-Attach a ring at one end of the chain and a clasp at the other end.
-Paint bone as desired.
*-If you are using leather lace, just put a jump ring through the wire loop, run the leather lace through and tie the ends together.
