DIY Marble Serving Tray

DIY Marble Serving Tray @themerrythought Oh, marble. It seems like no one can get enough of it lately! I’ve had a breakfast tray on my to-make list for quite a while but I haven’t been able to find the type of wood that I wanted for it! So when I stumbled across this tray, I decided to make my own version of this for now. And I love it!
DIY Marble Serving Tray @themerrythoughtDIY Marble Serving Tray @themerrythought What you need:
10×13 Marbled Ceramic Wall Tile (I didn’t use real marble because this was cheaper and easier to work with!)
-Tape Measure/Ruler
1/4″ Glass/Ceramic Drill Bit
-Spray Bottle & Water
-Drill
-2 Handles
-Electrical Pliers

How to make it:
-Lay down masking tape along each of the short ends to measure in from the sides. Use a ruler to measure in from the sides and center the handle. Make a mark on the tape at the center of each side of the handle.
-Use your glass drill bit to drill right in front of the marks made on the tape. Be sure to spray water on the hole while drilling to rinse out extra pieces to prevent the ceramic from cracking.
-You might have to cut your screws a little bit shorter with electrical pliers. Here is a thorough tutorial on that.
-Screw your handles in place and serve breakfast to someone! Or make breakfast for yourself and head back to bed!
